Sir Nicholas Winton statue

A statue in honour of Pinkneys Green resident Sir Nicholas Winton, on platform 3 at Maidenhead Railway station. It was unveiled by Theresa May in 2010 to honour the borough resident who helped smuggle hundreds of children out of Czechoslovakia during the Second World War. The Sir Nicholas Winton Memorial Garden can be found inside Oaken Grove Park.It was opened on July 14th 2017 by Theresa May, then Prime Minister.
