Sir Nicholas Winton statue

A statue in honour of Pinkneys Green resident Sir Nicholas Winton, on platform 3 at Maidenhead Railway station.
It was unveiled by Theresa May in 2010 to honour the borough resident who helped smuggle hundreds of children out of Czechoslovakia during the Second World War.

There is also a commemorative garden in Oaken Grove named after Sir Nicholas, and he is buried in Braywick Cemetery.
