Maudsley Memorial Garden

The memorial garden is located outside the Library and opposite the Town Hall. It was originally provided in 1975 as a memorial to the late Alderman John Baker Maudsley CBE.

There is a lovely fountain which is lit up at night and also a lovely seating area behind.

The stone used in the fountain was imported from Yorkshire to recognise Alderman’s origins.
