The woods at Maidenhead Thicket house a small treasure – Robin Hoods Arbour which is owned by the National Trust. At the right time of year, the underlying soil conditions are perfect for some amazing groups of Orchids to grow in abundance.
During winter when the grass is short the ditches where Robin and his band of merry men must have lain in wait for passer-by, are clearly visible around the edge of the grassland.

Robin Hoods Arbour is located close to the A404, and within the woods near to Stubbings Garden Centre and Cafe. Robin Hood’s Arbour, Henley Rd, Maidenhead, England SL6 4LU, United Kingdom
